What Sets Us Apart

We have learned that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,  AND WE DO CARE!

Valley Dental Pediatrics is the longest established and most experienced Pediatric Dental Practice in the northeast region.  Dr. Tunison and Dr. Campbell  are Board Certified Pediatric Specialists.  They are specialists who provide comprehensive dental care to babies, children, adolescents and persons with special needs.  Their education is different from that of general dentists.  After graduation from dental school, they each spent two years in a residency program at children’s hospitals where they received extensive special training and exposure to pediatric oral health issues, including meeting the needs of persons with special needs.  Their practice includes treatment of patients with complicated medical problems.   Dr. Tunison and Dr. Campbell are on staff and have hospital privileges at UHS Hospitals which enable them to treat patients in a hospital setting when necessary.  Dr. Tunison and Dr. Campbell work closely with other healthcare professionals in related fields and specialties when treating their patients.

Dr. Tunison and Dr. Campbell are members of the ADA, AAPD, NYSDA, 6th District Dental Society, and BCDS.  They serve on the health advisory committee of Family Enrichment as well as the CFC of Broome County and the Hemophilia team at Binghamton General Hospital.  Our commitment to continuing education and quality dental care are unmatched in the northeast region.

The entire team at Valley Dental Pediatrics are all specially trained and educated and have extensive experience in working with children, adolescents and their families.  Compassionate care is our hallmark.

We follow the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommendations that all children should be seen by age 1 or six months after their first tooth has erupted.  And we enthusiastically encourage patients to schedule infant exams to have their baby examined by one of our dentists.  A critical component of this exam involves discussing the importance of oral hygiene and proper nutrition with parents.  You will be in the hands of experts in the prevention of dental disease.

When you choose Valley Dental Pediatrics, you are choosing a progressive and proactive specialty practice dedicated to children and persons with special needs.  We establish long term relationships with our patients and their families enjoying watching them grow every step of the way!  When our former patients return with their children for care, we know we have accomplished our goals in providing generations of healthy smiles!  We welcome you to make Valley Dental Pediatrics your child’s dental home!
